With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, many seemed to be rather taken with Samsung’s new handsets and have praised the phone’s new camera and new design and their choice of using premium materials, but exactly how popular are Samsung’s new phones?
As it turns out they are pretty damn popular. According to reports, it seems that 20 million pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge have since been placed, although this information comes from a leading carrier in Europe who wished not to be named, so do take these numbers with a grain of salt for now.
According to that particular carrier, they are advising that 15 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 and 5 million pre-orders for the S6 Edge have since been placed from carriers around the world. These are some pretty impressive numbers but like we said these are pre-orders placed by carriers which means that there is a slight chance that not all of the 20 million handsets will be sold, although given the popularity of Samsung’s Galaxy S series it probably will.
Assuming these figures are true, it is a good sign for Samsung who has reportedly been experiencing a decline in sales recently, so hopefully with the powerful new hardware and new design from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, it will be good enough to halt the decline for the South Korean tech giant.
