The upcoming Warcraft movie is definitely worth looking forward to. This is because Blizzard has managed to create a very well-loved franchise, not to mention with over 10 million gamers still playing World of Warcraft, that’s a huge fanbase that Blizzard and the movie studios can tap into (and hopefully not disappoint).
Recently the movie’s director Duncan Jones has taken to Twitter where he asked his followers some advice on how to take the movie to the next level, and more importantly how could they create a movie in which it would be able to appeal to those who have not heard of or have not played any of the Warcraft games.
Jones also admits that video game adaptations haven’t exactly been stellar, but he seems to be pretty confident about the Warcraft movie, and hopefully it will be good for the sake of fans everywhere. When asked about how much live action versus CGI we can expect, Jones stated that we are probably looking at an in between The Planet of the Apes, Fellowship of the Ring, and Avatar.
As it stands no one has seen the movie, although those who attended Comic-Con and BlizzCon were treated to some snippets of it. Hopefully with all the feedback Jones has been getting that he will be able to put something good together. The movie has since finished filming and is on track for a release in 2016.
