Have you ever played The World Ends With You on the Nintendo DS when it was released all those years back? Well, it seems that this mobile game has not had that much luck on the Apple platform, as we received word that The World Ends With You: Solo Remix has just been pulled from the iTunes App Store simply because there does not seem to be a fix in sight by the folks over at Square Enix concerning the game’s brokenness after the iOS 8 release as of September last year.
Square Enix did dish out a support notice, citing that The World Ends With You: Solo Remix has already been suspended, and that the company is feverishly working to introduce an update to the game. The iOS port of the game is hence unavailable for purchase from iTunes, and you would not have the luxury nor option to re-download the game even if you had purchased it beforehand.
Square Enix also did post a warning on its iTunes listing prior, touting,”We have confirmed a bug that prevents this game from running properly on iOS 8, and are currently investigating the matter. We humbly ask for your patience and understanding until the issue is resolved.” What a bummer, eh?
