Over in China, it seems that a local company has released a handset called the Conquest S6 which will come with rugged features that might appeal to customers who need such protection. It will be both water and dust resistant and will also be able to withstand pressure, freezing, scratches, and even high temperatures.
Its body will come with a frame to absorb impact, but will also have two metal strips that have been fastened with titanium screws for that added protection of its display. Under the hood, the Conquest S6 will be powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 quad-core processor and will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000mAH battery.
It is unlikely that the Conquest S6 will be released stateside, but for those who are interested in the phone, perhaps you can keep an eye out for it via gray import websites and retailers. It is priced at around $325 which is admittedly rather affordable given its specs and protection.
