Another day, another spanking new handset to look forward to. It does look as though smartphones do arrive in a non-stop barrage, rather than the far more relaxed annual updates or refresh that we were used to when Nokia ruled the roost. Having said that, there we are with word that the Sony Xperia E4g has just been introduced, which will be a natural successor to the Sony Xperia E4, and as you can tell by its name alone, this would be a 4G capable handset thanks to the built-in LTE connectivity.
Similar to the 3G-only twin device, this particular model will arrive with a dual SIM option, too, if you so require something along the lines. Apart from that, new owners of the Sony Xperia E4g will also be able to enjoy a brand new quad-core 1.5GHz processor that offers a slight increase in performance from 1.3GHz. However, one ought to take note that battery capacity remains the same at 2,300mAh, although Sony has promised a couple of days’ of battery life.
As for the rest of the hardware specifications, they will remain the same with a 5” qHD display, Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, 1GB RAM, a 5MP shooter at the back with a 2MP front-facing camera. Expect the Sony Xperia E4g to arrive later this April for approximately €130 a pop. [Press Release]
