As you can see in the image above, the leaked images appear to be the real deal as the official image looks like the leaked ones. The Xperia E4 unsurprisingly looks different from its predecessor the Xperia E3, and we have to wonder if the Xperia E4’s curvier design is any indication of what we might be able to expect from the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone.
Moving on, the Xperia E4 is not the most impressive smartphone we’ve seen, but it should be good enough to get the job done and based on its specs, it probably won’t cost you an arm and a leg to own either. The phone will feature a 5-inch 960×540 display and will be powered by a MediaTek quad-core chipset under the hood.
It will also feature a 5MP rear-facing camera and a “stamina” battery mode that will supposedly give 2 days worth of use, although we’ll probably need to test it for ourselves to confirm Sony’s claims. The phone will also come with dual SIM support and Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box which is admittedly a bit disappointing as we were hoping for Android 5.0. Pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed, but perhaps we will learn more at MWC 2015.
