The Sony SmartEyeglass is said to function in a somewhat similar manner as that of the now defunct Google Glass. Google’s version of its head-up display does place a small transparent lens right above one of your eyes, but the Sony SmartEyeglass takes a different route with transparent lenses that you wear in the same manner as that of a pair of glasses.
These happen to be 85% transparent, so you should not be walking into walls or ending up as a statistic where accidents are concerned, and yet will be able to offer you the ability to check out text and images on the lenses themselves. Well, an appearance at the FCC normally means one thing – its release is imminent.
