Perhaps. According to the folks at Android Police, they discovered during an APK teardown of the latest Google Play services that there was mention how users could trigger Smart Lock via Activity Recognition. According to the label, it describes the feature as an experimental one meaning that it could be a while before we see it, if at all.
It is unclear what it means by Activity Recognition, although we reckon it could mean just about anything, like the way you walk, or maybe shaking your phone in a particular pattern or rhythm, although we think that this could be a rather tricky way possibly not a very precise way of unlocking a phone.
It really does seem to be more novel than useful, but perhaps Google could come up with an interesting use for it. In any case maybe more could be revealed at this year’s Google I/O, but in the meantime what do you guys think?
