It has only been less than two months since Dish unveiled Sling TV, an over the top internet TV service, and in that period of time the service has been launched for everyone in the U.S. and it has added multiple new content sources. That streak continues today. Sling TV has announced that EPIX programming will soon be available on the service. The deal brings EPIX channels as well as thousands of video-on-demand movies.
EPIX channels include EPIX, EPIX2, EPIX3 and EPIX Drive-In Plus. As part of the deal Sling TV subscribers will also have access to over 2,000 movie and entertainment titles on-demand.
EPIX programming won’t be included in Sling TV’s base $20 package. Instead subscribers will have to pay extra for this add-on package. So far Sling TV has not revealed when this package will be launched and precisely what it will cost.
We’re only told that this information will be made public “in the coming weeks.”
Only recently Sling TV announced the addition of AMC to its $20 base package will includes programming from networks like ESPN, Food Network, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, CNN, ABC Family, HGTV and more.
The service is now live on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV stick. An app for the Xbox One is being developed and will be released soon.
