There are six issues under four categories that were fixed. The categories include Messaging, Voice, Screen Sharing and Application. The six issues that were fixed are mostly related to the app crashing nature, such as the input field that occasionally disappeared and high CPU usage with animated emoticons.Issues with preventing call UI from coming up when making a call soon after signing in, screen flickering when the shared window is off-screen and instance of AppNap preventing Skype from reconnecting have also been fixed.
However, there are also one known problem mentioned without any viable solution. Under the Screen Sharing Category, Skype’s screen sharing has not fixed its tendency to not received after pausing and resuming of call.
Apart from having most of its minor glitches fixed, the biggest feature of the new version is perhaps the 14 new languages that it now supports. The new 14 new languages include: Hindi, Turkish, Czech, Ukrainian, Greek, Hungarian, Romanian, Indonesian, Catalan, Croatian, Slovak, Vietnamese, Thai and Malay.
But all in all, the update is most welcoming news for those Mac users who rely heavily on the app. Please note that Skype 7.5 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.9 or higher.
