Instead photos can only be shared if both of you are online which is a bit limited. Of course to some this might not be a big deal, but to others it might be inconvenient. Thankfully Skype has recently announced that they have updated their Android app to version 5.2, and with the update, users are now able to share photos with one another regardless of their online status.
According to Skype, “With this update, you can now send photos to your Skype contacts at a time that’s convenient for you, regardless of your contacts’ online status. When they are back on Skype, photos you shared show up beautifully inline in the chat history, whether or not you’re online – allowing you to easily carry on the conversation.”
The update will also include improvements to the picture in picture view feature which is now supported on phones, chats will also load faster, and call quality improvements have also been made. The app and the update is available for download via the Google Play Store, so be sure to head on over to get your hands on it.
