Granted these aren’t the same figures we’ve come to expect from Samsung and their Galaxy brand of Android smartphones, but apparently as far as Samsung is concerned, these numbers are an indication of the success of their Tizen platform, so much so that word on the street has it that Samsung could already be planning a successor to the Samsung Z1 in the form of the Samsung Z2, assuming they are keeping the naming scheme.
It is unclear as to what kind of specs we can expect from the Samsung Z2, but it seems that Samsung will be giving it a bit of an upgrade. The Samsung Z1 wasn’t particularly impressive and user feedback from India suggested that the handset’s camera could be improved upon. However there are hints that Samsung could be at the very least bumping its display resolution to that of 960×540 which still isn’t particularly impressive, but we suppose it is still an upgrade nonetheless.
It also seems that the Samsung Z2 could be launched earlier than expected as Samsung is said to be encouraged by the success of the Samsung Z1, but take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully we will have additional details for you guys in the future.
