Most of us take our sight for granted, and probably for the most part assume that everyone sees what we see, but unfortunately that is not the case, and for some, color blindness can be a real handicap such as when playing games. Now Blizzard has typically included such accessibility features in their games, but with the upcoming Patch 6.1 for World of Warcraft, Blizzard will now included enhanced options.
Players with color blindness can access the new accessibility interface, and under that menu there will be an option to enable UI colorblind mode. This will help with text and visual enhancements and will present users with three color blind filters to choose from. This will address protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia.
The settings are all predefined but like we said, these are enhanced options and what that means is that players will be able to tweak the settings even further via the sliders that will help tune the UI to their preference and optimal settings. Patch 6.1 is a pretty big patch for World of Warcraft.
The update is expected to bring back Heirloom items into the game, it has also introduced a mini racing game in the Darkmoon Faire, and it will also include the ability for players to tweet within the game itself.
