panasonic-eluga-u2Panasonic does not only churn out smart TVs and the ilk, but they are also pretty big when it comes to smartphones – especially in Japan, of course. This time around, we have Panasonic and their 64-bit Eluga U2 that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop being spotted online. This means that the Japanese company is preparing themselves to make an official announcement of this particular mid-range smartphone, which as its name suggests, would be the successor of the Panasonic Eluga U.

What are some of the specifications of the Panasonic Eluga U2 that might make heads turn? Why, it sports a Full High Definition display (which should be the norm these days, by the way) alongside 4G LTE support (700/900/1800/2600 MHz). Apart from that, this happens to be the first smartphone from Panasonic that will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box.

Underneath the hood lies a 64-bit quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 mobile chipset, accompanied by the likes of 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 5” display at Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, a 13MP camera at the back, a 5MP shooter that caters for selfie lovers, and a 2,500 mAh battery. The asking price for the Panasonic Eluga U2 stands at $254 after conversion, and availability in countries apart from Taiwan remains to be seen.
