OnePlus has been in the news quite a lot recently. If not for its troubles with Cyanogen then for the 2015 flagship killer that we’re all waiting for. The company today announced on its blog that it has collaborated with SwiftKey to integrate its popular custom keyboard right in the CyanogenMod 11S build for OnePlus One. This is the software build for OnePlus One that’s based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
SwiftKey is one of the most popular developers of custom keyboards for mobile devices. Its top-selling keyboard app is now integrated within the OnePlus One software so users can switch to the SwiftKey keyboard by just tapping a button, there’s no need to download anything.
“SwiftKey improves the keyboard experience for our global user base with support for 81 languages,” says Helen Li, the Head of Product, Mobile at OnePlus.
The custom keyboard is particularly known for its prediction and autocorrect technology that ultimately aid the user in typing much faster than usual. OnePlus One users will be able to select it from the Language and Input menu in settings.
The software update that is going to be released for OnePlus One this month is going to have SwiftKey integrated. OnePlus has already teased its Lollipop build, CyanogenMod 12S, which is currently in the final testing stage.
