Sometimes developers who are trying to entice gamers to purchase their game might release a demo ahead of the game’s release, just for players to get an idea of what to expect. These demos are also a good way for gamers to decide if the trailers and hype live up to the actual game itself.
Now unfortunately for gamers on the fence about the upcoming Mortal Kombat X, you will be disappointed to learn that NetherRealm has confirmed that there will not be a demo for the game. According to NetherRealm’s boss Ed Boon, he confirmed on Twitter that no demo would be available for Mortal Kombat X.
Apparently this is because a demo would have forced the developers to spend extra time making one, and it was time that they did not have. We guess we can understand that they’d much rather spend their time polishing the game off and ensuring everything is fairly balanced and bug free, rather than create a demo and release a shoddy product.
In the meantime the game’s producer Shaun Himmerick teased that we could look forward to a new Mortal Kombat X character this month. No word on who it will be, but many gamers are speculating that it will be Mileena. Either way stay tuned for more updates!
