According to photos obtained by Phandroid (which you can see in the image above), it certainly looks like Verizon’s logo will be branded onto the back of the handset. Granted to some this isn’t a big deal, but for users who would rather have a “clean” phone, especially if you’re planning on reselling it later, this is a big no-no.
Of course there’s no way to tell if the photos are the real deal as anyone could have photoshopped Verizon’s logo onto the back of the phone, but considering that Verizon has in the past been pretty eager to brand their handsets, it doesn’t seem like it would be entirely out of the question.
Now we have to ask if Verizon will install bloatware onto the phone itself which would kind of ruin the point of owning a Nexus handset which is supposed to come with stock Android installed, but chances are it will. Either way we’re hoping for the best but do check back with us later for a possible release date.
