Google’s range of Nexus devices have always been rather solid in their build and performance over the years, and the Nexus 6 (which you can see above) has also picked up its fair share of bouquets ever since it was released. Having said that, Google has more or less worked with different hardware manufacturers when it comes to various Nexus devices, and word on the street has it that Google could very well be looking into the possibility of partnering alongside a China-based manufacturer for the next generation Nexus handset.
To date, it has been the likes of HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, and Asus that have taken Google’s Nexus device name to the ball and it seems that there could very well be a new Nexus device that might launch close to the end of this. In fact, there are already whispers going around that Google is looking into a working relationship with a Chinese manufacturer on the next Nexus smartphone, and if that were to be the case, then perhaps one might toss the Nexus 7 name out of the window.
Does this mean that companies such as Huawei, Lenovo and Xiaomi are in with a shout where the new Nexus handset is concerned? Only time will be able to tell.
