If you are having trouble swapping between alphabetic keyboard and numeric keyboard on your Android device while typing your messages or working on your spreadsheet, then the Microsoft “Keyboard for Excel” is for you. Microsoft has just launched the app on Thursday on Google Play Store and it’s for only Andriod 4.0 or higher. Currently the app is restricted for US users only, and supports only English characters without auto correct and gesture typing.

Basically it is a third party keyboard for Android devices that comes with the 10-key number layout(or Numpad) on the right side of the keyboard along with a ‘Tab’ key on the left, just like a full-fledged physical keyboard.

The Keyboard for Excel app also includes a copy of Microsoft Excel operators prioritized in the keyboard layout for quick turnaround. The cvirtual keyboard can also work very well with any other programs Android device and not just within the Microsoft’s Excel app.

Previously, the same developer are known for the launching of two very interesting screen locking apps that was launch a month apart. Next Lock Screen and Picturesque lock Screen. Both apps allow users to access missed call notifications, text messages and also the search function directly from a lock screen without unlocking the Android device, something which is a factory feature found in Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher devices.
