It looks as though being patient surely does have its benefits, although those who would prefer to be an early adopter might find the experience to be frustrating at times. Having said that, Verizon’s Nokia Lumia Icon happens to be a handset that, at long last, will be on the receiving end of the Lumia Denim update for Windows Phone 8.1.
It is poignant to take note that this happens to be the first software update Icon users have come across for quite some time already, since Verizon has not rolled out any updates for the Lumia device – not even with the Cyan update, never mind that the mobile carrier did list down this handset’s denim update as being “under development” for a fair number of months already.
At the end of it, it looks as though Verizon has decided to ditch the Lumia Cyan update, and go straight for the jugular, so to speak, with a Denim update for the existing Windows Phone flagship device. The Denim update will bring along with it a bunch of improvements to its camera, an improved camera app included, 4K video-recording support, and a fast shutter feature, among others. If you happen to own the Lumia Icon while rocking to Verizon Wireless, have you received the Denim update already?
