Close to two weeks ago, LG took the wraps off their latest wearable in the form of the LG Watch Urbane which is admittedly a rather classy-looking device, and a recent video released by LG to promote the Watch Urbane certainly seems to highlight all of that. As you can see in the video above, LG has emphasized how luxurious the device is, and how one is able to customize it to their liking, mainly in the form of interchangeable watch straps.
The good news is that there are no proprietary parts as far as watch straps are concerned, meaning that if you have a nice leather or steel band that you’d like to use, you should be able to use it, as long as it is of the 22mm variety. LG is also highlighting how the face of the watch can be changed to suit your needs, ranging from a very classic looking analog watch to that of a more modern digital interface.
LG has yet to mention how much the LG Watch Urbane will cost or when it will be released, but hopefully more details will be shared with us at MWC 2015. In terms of hardware, in case you missed the earlier announcement, the LG Watch Urbane is pretty much the same device as the LG G Watch R. The hardware will be similar and the main difference is in its design, which presumably will be reflected in its price as well.
