LG Watch Urbane LTE Gets Official

LG_Watch_Urbane_LTEWe did talk about the LG Watch Urbane right after Valentine’s Day passed, and here we are with more official details of the wearable technology. The LG Watch Urbane LTE has just gotten official, and we do know that LG is all set to release it at Mobile World Congress that is happening next week in Barcelona, Spain.

The LG Watch Urbane LTE happens to be a next-generation wearable watch that will come accompanied by NFC support, not to mention a slew of other features that have never been delivered on a smart device meant for the wrist before.

Since it is always wise to learn from the mistakes of the past, this fourth smartwatch from LG has shown just how far the South Korean company has come. The LG Watch Urbane is the most ambitious model to date, where it boasts of a 1.3-inch Plastic-OLED display that will deliver all the relevant communication capabilities of a smartphone in the form factor of a polished, metal wristwatch.

It will work just like any other 4G smartphone, allowing one to make and answer calls, not to mention send and receive text messages. It will also come with carrier support, as the smartwatch offers push-to-talk (PTT) capability alongside other devices on the same cellular network, letting you use the LG Watch Urbane LTE as a walkie-talkie without worrying about range.

Other specifications of the LG Watch Urbane LTE include a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, LG Wearable Platform as the operating system of choice, 4GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM, a 700mAh battery, 9 Axis/Barometer/PPG/GPS sensors, Bluetooth 34.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, dust and water resistant (IP67) capability, a speaker, and a microphone, all clad in a shade of silver.
