The PlayStation 4 exclusive Driveclub has received a new update today. When this title was released last year it ran into a lot of problems which the developers then had to tweak and fix. This obviously led to a really bad user experience but with quick patches the developers were able to do some damage control rather quickly. This latest update is not as heavy as the ones we’ve seen in the past, it only comes in at 690MB, and brings a new multiplayer game mode as well as a new track.
Starting February 18th Driveclub will have the Team Time Trial multiplayer game mode, apart from the new track, Kobago in Japan. New progress requirements have been rolled out for all add-on Tours.
Minor bug fixes, performance improvements and usability tweaks are included in this update. It also adds the option to enable the Rev Counter in cockpit view, reduces drying time for rain splatter on screen when in Chase Cam and lets gamers unlock Contender and Unbeatable trophies even if the challenges expire when they’re not online. The entire changelog is available on Driveclub’s official Facebook page.
After this update Driveclub is going to receive server upgrades for better stability and performance which will aid in enabling the much awaited PS+ Edition of this title. So far the developer has not said when Driveclub PS+ Edition will go live.
