Over the past few weeks multiple purported cases for the Samsung Galaxy S6 have surfaced online. Some of these cases gave us glimpses at the design of Samsung’s upcoming flagship while others tried their best to convince us of the new smartphone’s dimensions. The latest pictures of cases for Galaxy S6 that have appeared online show us just how slim the device might be.
The cases have been manufactured by OBLIQ who sent over the pictures to GSMArena. They belong to the company’s Slim Meta series and have been designed for Galaxy S6. As per the casemaker, the Galaxy S6 is going to be just 6.9mm thick.
With the case strapped on it is bumped up to 9.5mm but without it the Galaxy S6 is said to be pretty slim on its own. We also see in the pictures that there are cutouts for camera, LED flash and heart rate monitor.
Expected to be fashioned out of metal the Galaxy S6 dimensions are now believed to be 143.3 x 70.8 x 6.9mm with IP-67 certification. Samsung itself hasn’t confirmed these dimensions and will only do so at its MWC event, which isn’t really that far off now.
As far as specifications go Samsung Galaxy S6 might tout a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, the company’s own Exynos 7 Octa processor with 3GB RAM, 2,600mAh battery and 16 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization.
