Given that companies like Samsung, HTC, Apple, Sony, Motorola, LG, and etc. have products all around the world, we’re sure many fans are hoping that the products would be launched in their country first. The good news is that if you’re living stateside, HTC’s upcoming wearable could see a release in the US first.
This is according to @upleaks who claims that HTC’s first wearable will be making it into the US market before the rest of the world. Given that @upleaks has a pretty decent track record when it comes to rumors and leaks, we guess there might be some truth to the claims. For those hearing about this for the first time, word on the street has it that HTC has a wearable they are working on.
This wearable is expected to make its debut at MWC 2015 which kicks off next month and before you think it’s just another smartwatch, it seems that HTC’s wearable is actually more of a fitness band which given the competitive smartwatch scene at the moment makes sense, although it would HTC in competition with the likes of Fitbit, Jawbone, and even Microsoft.
It has been speculated that HTC’s decision to release the fitness band in the US first could be due to their recent partnership with athletic clothing company Under Armour where they had previously launched an app together. In any case we guess more will be revealed at MWC 2015, so take it with a grain of salt and check back with us then for the details.
