If there was one gripe we had with the HTC One M9 is that according to recently leaked specs, it is said that the phone will continue packing a Full HD display, as opposed to a QHD display which is what companies like LG and Samsung have done, and is also what Sony is expected to do with their flagship as well.
For those who were hoping that this isn’t true, @LlabTooFeR has recently leaked wallpaper that is allegedly belonging to that of the upcoming HTC One M9, and based on its resolution it certainly seems like a Full HD display will be part of the phone’s specs. Of course all of this is conjecture at this point in time since we don’t have an official announcement, but it is certainly shaping up to look that way.
However some have argued for the Full HD display, claiming that due to the fact that it has less pixels, it means that it won’t require as much power compared to phones running QHD display resolutions. This also means that battery life on the phone should in theory be much better as well, which is actually a pretty important factor these days as most phone battery life tends to barely last beyond a single day.
In any case HTC’s MWC event will be kicking off on the 1st of March, so if you’d like to find out all the official details, check back with us then for more information!
