HTC Desire 626 Leaked Yet Again

It was not too long ago that the HTC Desire 626 was mentioned, where this particular unannounced smartphone could very well be slated for an appearance over at MWC 2015 that is happening later this year. Well, it seems that all doubts on the existence of the HTC Desire 626 should be squashed by now, especially when you take into consideration that this particular handset has just been approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, or TENAA for short, which is somewhat the equivalent of the FCC over in the US.

What then, can we expect from the HTC Desire 626 when it arrives? Well, it ought to feature a 5” display at 720 x 1280 resolution, which would clearly place this in the mid-range set of smartphones. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, although there are whispers going around that there will be an Android 5.0 Lollipop update rolling out soon.

Apparently, the HTC Desire 626 that was approved in China will also have an octa-core MediaTek processor that has been clocked at 1.7GHz running underneath the hood, accompanied by 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory – which you can, of course, expand using a microSD memory card if you so desire. LTE connectivity is part of the deal, and so too, will there be a 5MP selfie shooter and a 13MP camera at the back with a flash.
