Halo: Nightfall is an episodic live-action TV series that aired last year on Microsoft’s consoles. The series is set between Halo 4 and Halo 5. Nightfall was originally only made available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Now it is being released as a collection next month so really anyone will be able to watch the series whether or not they have an Xbox console.
The Halo: Nightfall series has been directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan and produced by Ridley Scott. Between November and December last year it aired on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. In March the series will be released on DVD and Blu-ray and all of the five episodes will be merged together into a feature-length film.
Halo: Nightfall revolves around Jameson Locke who is described as “a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence,” and is based on the events between Halo 4 and Halo 5.
Prior to the release Microsoft also published a new trailer which went live on YouTube today. The company has said that Nightfall will be released through “digital channels” as well, so we should expect to see it on online content stores as well and possibly also on video streaming sites.
Microsoft is going to release Halo: Nightfall as a collection in both North America and Europe on March 17th.
