It does not seem as though the Grand Theft Auto franchise is about to slow down anytime soon, not when it has been quite the success story on the PS4 as well as Xbox One consoles. Well, Rockstar Games, the ones behind the recent Grand Theft Auto titles, might very well be looking into the next installment of the series – if initial whispers on the grapevine were to be believed. Taking into consideration how GTA V happens to be a mere year and a half old, the next version of the game would still take some time to arrive – if it really is in the pipeline already, that is.
It does seen as though GTA Online would more or less remain as the developers’ primary focus for the moment, there are new ideas being bandied about for the new game. Rockstar president Leslie Benzies did make mention that the team has “got about 45 years’ worth of ideas we want to do”.
Taking into consideration how early it is at this point in time for any development process concerning Grand Theft Auto VI, it is then not surprising at all to hear very little about it. Benzies did mention, however, that “we don’t know what GTA VI will be, but what we’ve got some ideas.”
