galaxy-note-edge-lollipop-leaked-beta

Samsung took its sweet time to release Lollipop but the roll out is underway albeit very, very slowly. Galaxy S5 has received Android 5.0 Lollipop in some markets around the globe. Folks in the U.S. who are on Verizon got it yesterday for their Galaxy S5. There has been no love as yet for Galaxy Note Edge. If you have one and are itching to try out Android 5.0.1 with TouchWiz then there is a leaked ROM available for you.

A beta Lollipop update build for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has been leaked online. Its an official pre-release build with TouchWiz included. Based on Android 5.0.1 the build XXU1BOA2 is compatible with SM-N915FY and SM-N915F versions of the Galaxy Note Edge.

Since its an official build from Samsung, and not one developed by a third party, flashing the ROM won’t void warranty or trip the Knox counter. However keep in mind that its a pre-release build in beta that isn’t meant for public consumption. There might be several issues and bugs that need fixing so do proceed at your own risk.

Those who are adventurous enough to flash this ROM need to keep in mind that the minimum frequency of Galaxy Note Edge’s Snapdragon 805 processor has to be set manually to 300MHz using a third-party app before this ROM is flashed.

The required files and install instructions are available over at XDA Forums.
