f1-2015-leaked-2
Codemasters has been quiet about the next F1 title for consoles but sufficient evidence has surfaced online which confirms that a new title is indeed under development. Earlier today the first screenshots of F1 2015 were leaked online. These screenshots appear to have been taken from an internal email which not only show visual upgrades made to the latest iteration of the Formula One franchise but also details part of Codemasters’ strategy for the title.

A single look at the leaked screenshots is enough to see that many visual upgrades have been made in the upcoming title with improved lighting standing out. Anti aliasing is also noticeable in one shot that shows reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton taking the Ste Devote corner in Monaco.

We also see a hybrid Sauber which includes parts of the 2014 car with the current car. Another screenshot shows us the circuit in Mexico City that returns to the F1 calendar in 2015.

If the details present in these leaked screenshots are to be believed then F1 2015 will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer. It will feature 2014 cars and 2015 cars with additional updates being released throughout the year as the current season progresses.

In a statement provided to Eurogamer, Codemasters reveals that these are “work-in-progress” images which were taken from a confidential internal development email. Currently all content is subject to approval by Formula One Management and the teams.
