Dropbox Introduces Open Button

Dropbox has just introduced their Open button, which would be able to create a seamless file experience for those who happen to work on both the web and desktop platforms. It seems that whenever users preview a file on the web that so happens to have a place in their Dropbox, the Open button will allow them to open up the file immediately using its native application, now how about that?

Surely it is nice to see something so deceptively simple work seamlessly with your user experience, but behind the scenes, plenty of groundwork needed to be done in the first place. After all, it has been said that in any given week, 50% of Dropbox web app users also make use of the Dropbox desktop client. As a result, this happens to be a win for end users, as it would make life a whole lot more convenient and easier for them to easily, access, edit, and collaborate on their files regardless of where they work.

It is nice to note that the latest version of the Dropbox desktop client that comes with the Open button mentioned above is already live, and users will be automatically updated on a rolling basis throughout the coming weeks. [Press Release]
