Doom is a video game franchise that has a somewhat serious and somber tone to it. In fact more modern versions of Doom have more horror elements in the game that makes it feel darker, but thanks to mod-maker Linguica, Doom has gotten a slight whimsical and novel mod that makes it feel less serious.
If you’re looking to have some fun with Doom in a non-traditional sense, Linguica’s Doom mod basically gives the game a selfie stick along with a handful of Instagram-like filters. Yup you read that right, you can now take selfies within the Doom game which like we said, should add some fun and lighthearted moments to it, as you can see in the screenshot above.
The stick can be found in the game where the chainsaw and BFG guns are located as the modder has basically swapped them out for the selfie stick in its place. We have to admit that it is a pretty hilarious mod and if you’d like to get your hands on the Doom selfie stick mod, just head on over to the DoomWorld forum for details on how to download it.
In the meantime Blizzard’s World of Warcraft game is also getting a selfie feature of its own in the upcoming Patch 6.1. It’s a fun aspect of the game but is it too much?
