Capcom has certainly made a name for itself when it comes to the world of video games over the years, and they have had their fair share of hit titles for the masses, too. In fact, one of their latest achievements would be this – seeing Resident Evil end up as the fastest-selling digital release to date, not to mention this particular title having recorded the highest number of day one sales for any title on the PSN platform, now how about that?
Of course, it is no ordinary Resident Evil title that we are talking about here, but rather, it would be the recently released Resident Evil Remastered. Not only has it ended up as Capcom’s fastest selling digital game in its history in North America, the same will also apply to its sales over in Europe, now how about that for a rather unique achievement?
Resident Evil Remastered was first launched on January 20th last month, where it has also managed to pick up the record for having the most day one sales on the PlayStation Network. Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi gushed, “It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”
