Our smartphone cameras these days are more than capable of shooting great quality images and videos, although this does come at the expense of battery life and the lack of more dedicated camera controls. If you’re after a dedicated camera but don’t want to spend too much money, Canon has recently announced two new PowerShot cameras that might be worth your attention.
Starting with the PowerShot SX410 IS digital camera, this is the latest super zoom camera that will be added to Canon’s SX lineup. It will feature 40x optical zoom and it will also come with image stabilization, so that even when you zoom, your photos should still remain relatively blur-free. It will come with a 20MP sensor and also an ECO mode that will help it conserve battery in case you’re going to be out all day.
The camera is also expected to come with a host of different filters and effects that you can use to edit your images with inside the camera itself, thus saving you some time and cooking up some pretty interesting effects on the fly. The Canon PowerShot SX410 IS is expected to see a release in March where it will be priced at $280.
Next up we have the PowerShot ELPH 350 HS. This is a compact camera which will be great for photographers who want a camera small enough to slip into their pocket or bag. It will sport a 20.2MP CMOS sensor and with its Intelligent IS feature, it should help to reduce camera shake in your images.
The camera will also come with built-in WiFi connectivity and NFC to allow users to send photos and videos wirelessly, or connect wirelessly to a compatible Canon printer. The PowerShot ELPH 350 HS will feature a 3-inch LCD display, Hybrid AUTO that allows both photo and video to be captured simultaneously, and the ability to shoot video in Full HD resolution. It will be priced at $210 and will arrive in April.
