OnePlus One emerged on the scene last year with its smartphone, the “flagship killer,” called OnePlus One. The company only allowed people who had received an invite to purchase this smartphone. OnePlus One became popular, because its relatively cheaper than most smartphones that offer similar specifications, and this caused supply/demand problems. The invite system continued nevertheless but OnePlus gave customers many opportunities to purchase a unit without needing an invite. Now finally it will be possible to buy OnePlus One without an invite.

This doesn’t come without a catch. OnePlus is only going to open up sales of its smartphones every Tuesday. So tomorrow you’ll be able to purchase units straightaway. Those who miss out will have to wait an entire week until sales open up on next Tuesday. So on, so forth.

In supported markets customers will be able to purchase OnePlus One every Tuesday for a full 24 hours. Sales will start at 8am GMT, that’s midnight Pacific and 4pm in Hong Kong.

During open sales both 16GB white and 64GB black models will be offered for the usual price of $299 and $349 respectively.

Customers who are not able to pick up a device every Tuesday will require an invite on remaining days. Then again, why not just wait until the next Tuesday rolls in.
