ASUS of Taiwan has certainly done quite well for itself in recent times, and when they debuted the ASUS ZenWatch last year, it did come with its fair share of bouquets. Surely there was very little or few complaints concerning the stylish good looks that came with the ZenWatch, while the asking price of less than a couple of Benjamins certainly made it an extremely interesting proposition. Having said that, it looks as though ASUS might be working on yet another piece of wearable tech, which is dubbed the VivoWatch for the moment.
Just how do we know about the VivoWatch? Simple, really, as there is a spanking new entry from ASUS that has showed up in the Bluetooth SIG database. Needless to say, details and additional information have been rather scant, apart from the fact that it will be known as the VivoWatch, with ASUS as its manufacturer. Not only that, it will bring along with it Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
There is also one interesting bit in the listing that claims how the VivoWatch is “a health watch that can detect heart rate and sleep data.” Hmmm, it looks as though there is a slight possibility of the VivoWatch ending up to be more like the Microsoft Band as opposed to the ZenWatch, don’t you think so?
