Apple’s retail expansion continues at home and abroad. Recently we have been hearing about the stores that Apple is opening up in China. Its a lucrative market no doubt and Apple is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that customers head over to its stores when they want to purchase one of its products. According to a new report three new Apple Stores have been planned for New York and two of these stores will reach major markets that have previously not been covered under Apple’s retail umbrella.
9to5mac reports that the New York borough of Queens is getting its first store on the second floor of the Queens Center Mall. According to one source cited in the report this will be the largest Apple Store ever located inside a New York mall, the company apparently expects revenues from this store to trump even some of its iconic flagship stores.
It was first reported back in December that Apple is going to open a store in Brooklyn. The opening date is believed to be in April 2015. Unspecified delays are being reported for this retail location and the opening might not happen until early 2016. This store is believed to be located on Bedford Ave. and North 3rd Street in Williamsburg.
The company is also expected to open another store in the Upper East Side. It may open its doors by the end of this year, but rumor has it that development is running behind and the opening might be pushed back.
