So why has Fast Company deemed Apple worthy of its number two spot? It seems that the improvements that Apple has made under the hood of iOS 8 was what helped them nab that position. According to Fast Company, “Many of the company’s most meaningful accomplishments don’t make for particularly memorable stagecraft. That’s because they’re about subtle software refinements that make its existing hardware products more useful.”
They also cite how Apple has included features in iOS 8 that have made it easier and better for third-party developers to create interesting and useful apps, as well as HomeKit that leads to more connected homes, improved TouchID, and how could we forget Apple Pay. Ultimately Fast Company has decided that with iOS 8, the improvements, features, and how Apple is slowly letting go of its control is a good sign.
Other companies in the top 10 list includes eyeglasses company Warby Parker in number one, Alibaba in third, Google in fourth, and Instagram in fifth, just to name a few, but what do you guys think? Is Apple deserving of their position?
