Of course, this particular patent reveal did kick off a fair amount of speculation as to whether Apple would, at long last, make an entrance into the vehicle business – which would certainly be night and day as opposed to their regular products. After all, churning out a vehicle would require a whole set of different skills and expertise as opposed to coming up with a smartphone or tablet.
In the end, it seems that this particular patent was not meant for an electric car, and neither does it have anything to do with an autonomous car. Rather, this patent points to a computer attached to a golf cart, and the Apple Electric Car company hails from Florida, where it is also known by the iProCar name. Are you disappointed as an Apple fan that this has nothing to do with a new iCar? I’m, for one, am relieved actually.
