As with most things in life, there are two sides to a coin. This agreement would see the loss of “future business opportunities that Apple and/or its affiliates may present to you” as a potential consequence should the accessory manufacturer go up against this agreement, or if they do not want to sign it. Should they actually agree to Apple’s agreement, doing so might result in a long delay when it comes to churning out accessories for the new handset – which would mean losing out on making plenty of cash during the initial few months of a new iPhone’s release, as that is when a protective case would be in greatest demand as folks naturally want to protect their new asset.
