The video saw this particular warning issued – “ISIS, we will hunt you, take down your sites, accounts, emails and expose you.” I suppose ISIS would not be too troubled by that, since online recruiting can be done in a myriad of ways, but it is still encouraging to see that Anonymous can be a thorn in ISIS’ side regardless of how “small” the act looks. In fact, Anonymous had “declared war” on jihadist websites as of January this year, especially after the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris.
The Anonymous video also mentioned, “We are Muslims, Christians, Jews, we are hackers, crackers, Hacktivist, phishers, agents, spies, or just the guy from next door. We come from all races, countries, religions and ethnicity – united as one, divided by zero. Remember the terrorists that are calling themselves Islamic State are not Muslims.”
