Android 5.0 Lollipop Touted To Be More Stable Than iOS 8
It goes without saying that any operating system, mobile or otherwise, that is worth its salt would also need to receive updates from time to time in order to make it relevant to users’ needs at that particular moment in the life cycle of the hardware as well as software departments. Android 5.0 Lollipop is certainly a quantum leap over its previous version, which would be Android 4.4 KitKat, and Material Design – the visual improvement, is just but the beginning. Apart from that, there has been an extensive interface polishing done, not to mention the inclusion of performance benefits that are more often than not left unseen.
A recent report claimed that Android 5.0 Lollipop is more stable and less prone to crashes – just, as opposed to its main rival, that is, Apple’s iOS 8. In this particular report, there were a few numbers pulled in order to provide such a report the with relevant backbone – such as the crash rate of Android 5.0 Lollipop being at 2% now, whereas Apple’s iOS 8 as a wee bit more gremlins under the hood at 2.2%. Of course, a 0.2% difference is marginal for some, but I suppose that does play a role, no matter how minor, in helping people decide on which mobile operating system to settle on.
