Every year the folks at Activision publish a new Call of Duty game, and given that we are in 2015 it also means that we can look forward to the next title. The good news is that if you enjoyed Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops II, Activision announced during its investors call that this year’s Call of Duty title will be developed by Treyarch, the same developer behind those other Call of Duty titles.
Unsurprisingly not much was shared aside from the confirmation that the game will be arriving this year and its developer, although Activision did promise that this year’s title will be “loaded with innovation”, whatever that means, but hopefully at the end of the day it will translate into a good game that gamers will enjoy.
Back in 2014, gamers were treated to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare which according to reports back then, managed to break sales records across the pond. Considering that EA and Activision battle it out every year for dominance with their Battlefield and Call of Duty titles respectively, we admit that last year’s records was impressive.
Will Activision be able to replicate or even surpass last year’s success with 2015’s Call of Duty? Well with Treyarch behind this year’s title, we’re sure many gamers will be looking forward to seeing what they will be able to deliver.
