When the iPhone 6 was launched, there were some mixed reviews about the handset’s design. Some loved it and some felt that it was ugly, but we suppose at the end of the day it really boils down to personal preference. However it seems that some smartphone OEMs love Apple’s design, so much so that they have decided to copy it.
We’ve seen this done in the Lenovo Sisley S90 and now thanks to recently leaked images, ZTE could be thinking of launching an iPhone copycat of their own. As you can see in the image above, the phone in the picture is allegedly that of the ZTE Blade S6. This is an upcoming phone by the Chinese manufacturer which surfaced on an online retailer’s website.
Based on its design, the handset could potentially pass off as the iPhone 6, although at the same time we have to admit that the phone does look pretty sleek. However under its hood, the ZTE Blade S6 does not appear to pack high-end specs. The phone is said to come with a 5.5-inch 720p HD display.
It will be powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM. There is also an 8MP rear-facing camera, 16GB of onboard storage, and will come with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled. No word on when the ZTE Blade S6 will launch, but GizChina states that it should be made official in the coming weeks.
