Xiaomi, the smartphone manufacturer that hails from China and intends to be a tour de force in its industry, has done quite a fair bit of business in the previous year, where the company has sold more 61 million smartphones, although the majority of them happen to be entry level – and hence, low cost models. Intending to grow from strength to strength, the newly released Mi Note and Mi Note Pro ought to spearhead their initiative this year. These are high end devices, and logic dictates that they will not be as affordable. Focus Taiwan, quoting consulting firm KGI Investment Advisory, touts that Xiaomi could very well ship 13 to 15 million Mi Notes for the year 2015, which are pretty impressive figures taking into consideration that Xiaomi has not quite reached the status of a global company just yet.
It remains to be seen whether both Mi Note models that were announced are included in this estimation. With the Mi Note touted to be made available from this month onward in its home market of China, the Mi Note Pro is tipped to go on sale later in March, which is just a couple of months away.
Do you think that Xiaomi has what it takes to get the job done this year?
