Back in December 2014, Microsoft’s Xbox Live gaming service was hacked with the hacking team Lizard Squad claiming responsibility for it, which is why we can’t blame gamers for feeling that tinge of paranoia whenever the service is interrupted as it could either be a glitch, a hack, or maybe maintenance.
Well if you have been trying to access Xbox Live and you can’t, don’t worry you’re not alone. According to the Xbox Live Status page, it shows that there is limited connectivity going on at the moment. This has affected the purchase and content, as well as social and gaming aspects of Xbox Live.
Thankfully it looks like Microsoft is aware of the problem and have left messages on the status informing gamers that they are aware of it and are working to resolve it. No word on when these services are expected to go back to full functionality, but in the meantime if you’re having problems accessing these features, you know why.
It is unclear as to what the problem could be. It could simply be a connectivity issue, it could be a server crash or bug that is causing the limited connection, but hopefully it is nothing serious. Either way we will keep you guys updated on its status, so check back with us later for more updates.
