We’re sure many Windows Phone users are excited to see what Windows 10 for smartphones will be like. Will it introduce a brand new UI, huge improvements, spanking new features, and so on? Well if you are eager to find out, you might be interested to learn that the public preview of Windows 10 for mobile will be coming soon.
This is according to Mary Jo Foley who has in the past accurately predicted Microsoft’s moves. Foley posted on Twitter in response to a question about Windows 10 for mobile, in which she said that a public preview of Windows 10 for mobile should be made available shortly after Microsoft’s event on the 21st of January.
Now we already know that Microsoft will be holding an event later this month, so we guess we now have a better and more specific timeframe as to when we can learn more about Windows 10 for mobile. Just last week thanks to a leaked photo, we caught a glimpse of what appeared to be Windows 10 running on a smartphone.
The photo shows off what appears to be a new UI. While Microsoft will be retaining the same tiled interface, it certainly looks a lot different from Windows Phone 8.1. We’re not sure what other interesting and exciting features we can look forward to, but do check back with us on the 21st of January for the details (hopefully!).
