So the other day we reported that there were several World of Warcraft gamers who received a notification informing them that a package from Blizzard had been sent their way. Well as it turns out, the package is that of a World of Warcraft statue which you can see in the image to your right, a statue which also celebrate that particular gamer’s 10-year subscription to the game.According to the wording on the base of the statue, “The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It’s where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together.”
Like we said not all gamers qualified to receive the statue as it seems that only gamers who have subscribed to the game for a long time are eligible to receive it. It also seems that players must have created and signed up for a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game’s release in America or Europe, which we’re guessing only serves to reduce that pool even further.
Either way it is a pretty cool statue and if you’re wondering if you’re eligible, you should have received an email by now, if you haven’t we guess you’d be out of luck. However we can only imagine that some gamers will be enterprising and put these collectibles up on eBay or Craigslist, so do keep an eye out for it if you are hoping to get your hands on one.
