Samsung announced the Galaxy Note Edge back in September 2014. Soon after the announcement this smartphone was available from three major carriers in the U.S., Verizon Wireless wasn’t one of them. A few days back it was rumored that Big Red is going to offer this smartphone soon. The official confirmation has come in just now. Verizon Galaxy Note Edge has now been launched and can be picked up from the country’s largest mobile carrier.
In this week the smartphone has actually landed on two mobile networks. Before Verizon it was U.S. Cellular that confirmed it would be selling the Galaxy Note Edge to customers.
Since this device has been developed in a limited quantity and is only being released in a few markets the price is much more than one would expect. With a two-year contract Verizon is selling the Galaxy Note Edge for $399.99. Customers will be able to purchase it for $799.99 off-contract, and that’s a good deal, because for this variant AT&T charges over $900. Even Sprint’s price of $840 gets undercut by Verizon.
There’s nothing too different between Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge save for the fact that the latter has a display that is curved at one side. It also has a slightly smaller battery than that of the Note 4.
Galaxy Note Edge can be picked up on Verizon starting today, it is also available on the Verizon Edge installment plan.
